South Central District Honor Choir Auditions
In September, students have the opportunity to audition for the 9th/10th grade All-District Honor Choir or the 11th/12th grade All-District Choir. Please use the following links to practice at home!
9th/10th grade Honor Choir
In order to be selected for the 9th/10th grade All-District Honor Choir, freshmen and sophomores must sing their part in a four part choral piece, perform a scale, and sight-read in a blind audition. Click on the song title to practice your part in the appropriate audition piece: I'll Say it Anyway is even years and Farewell My Love is for odd years. . The rehearsal track is your part amplified while the performance track is your part muted. Scale starting notes are as follows: Soprano (G), Alto (Db), Tenor (F), and Bass (B).
11th/12th grade Honor Choir
In order to be selected for the 11th/12th grade All-District Honor Choir, juniors and seniors must sight-read a melodic and harmonic selection, identify two key signatures, and prepare a vocal solo. Students will be assigned a vocal selection from various books. Click here to practice with your accompaniment. Make sure you select the correct voicing (high or low)!
