Sight Reading Assessment
Through daily sight-reading, students will have the opportunity to perform examples that will increase with difficulty meeting the following guidelines. Some ensembles may advance more quickly than others and require to stay within more remediated guidelines to continue building musical success.

- You will be given several assignments throughout the school year. Please make sure that you have registered with the class code 93p5z7
- Pay attention to the date the assignment is due. The assignment will allow you unlimited tries until you press submit. Each time you try, you will receive a NEW sight-reading example.
- Make sure you listen before you submit so you are pleased with your recording.
- Before you record, make sure your headphones and volume are working.
- The assignment will NOT give you the pitch. You will need to use the “play opening pitch” button at the top.
- The assignment will give you 30 seconds to test sing through the example without recording. The metronome will count off 4 beats then the exercise will begin.
- If it is set up to have a cursor keep the beat for you, use that to guide your singing so you stay with the beat.
- When you are finished, please make sure that you submit your recording to be graded.
